MTG secures critical infrastructures with quantum-safe security
MTG AG designs future-proof identity access management solutions in an interdisciplinary project team.
In collaboration with its partners Quant-X Security & Coding GmbH, Fraunhofer IPMS and the University of Regensburg, MTG AG is working on a BMBF-funded project to expand established identity access management processes. The aim is to adapt the processes in such a way that they can still be used to secure digital identities in critical infrastructures even if a powerful quantum computer becomes operational. MTG AG will contribute its expertise in the areas of Public Key Infrastructures (PKI) and Post-Quantum Cryptography.
"By combining Quantum Cryptography and Post-Quantum Cryptography, we can develop an end-to-end quantum-safe Identity Access Management solution that secures digital business processes in a future-proof way.," explains Dr. Christian Tobias, who is managing the project at MTG.
The BMBF-funded project "Secure Quantum Communication for Critical Identity Access Management Infrastructures - Quant-ID" has been running since September 2022 and has a 3-year duration.
By combining Quantum Cryptography and Post-Quantum Cryptography, we can develop an end-to-end quantum-safe Identity Access Management solution that secures digital business processes in a future-proof way.
